Grace Nyblade has been using DBT for almost 10 years. She strives to be on the forefront of research and treatment protocols. She often jokes that, if research comes out that wearing purple will cure depression, we would all get new wardrobes. She is certified as a traditional DBT provider and recently received intensive training in Radically Open – DBT.
Grace sees patients from ages 6 years old and up. She specializes in newly diagnosed and complex cases and have a lot of advanced training and certifications in doing truama work. Half of her time is training new therapists and growing The DBT Project.
She works closely with parents, psychiatrists, nutritionists, schools and others on the team to ensure that our clients get support in all of their settings. This also ensures that all of the adults are looking out for symptoms and safety. A 360-degree view will mean better outcomes for every client.
Grace has been an LCSW-C for almost 20 years and has primarily worked with adolescents in private practice settings and in therapuetic foster care. Despite many settings DBT is her heart and loves sharing the simplicity of its treatment. She also works with a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel – Alpha, a little black dog usually trailing behind me in each office. He is very friendly and wants to say hi. He loves seeing patients and meeting new people. Feel free to ask if he can come play.
