Psych Associates powered by Bloominmind HealthTech Inc. is a healthcare IT company with a focus on building product solutions and services for mental & behavioral health.
Our company specializes in admissions, referrals, bed management and EHR. Stakeholders and individuals in search of these healthcare resources, will benefit from our digital platform V-PARC (Virtual Patient Admitting and Referral Center).
Hospitals call admitting and referral services at multiple hospitals or residential placements (outbound), to find out bed/resource availability. This process is manual, complex and time consuming.
Currently, there is no centralized system where stakeholders can explore available comprehensive resources in real time. Admitting and referral services staff has to respond (Inbound) to the various hospitals about their bed/resources availability. This leads to long wait times for patients in emergency rooms and in-patient units.
V-PARC resolves issues with both the current outbound and inbound mode of communication by having all such calls directed to V-PARC, which then notifies the caller electronically of an available hospital based on the search. This will speed up the identification of an emergency bed, automate logging of call requests, and eliminate the need to notify other hospitals of bed unavailability.
1. Practice Management, Electronic Health Records and Revenue Cycle Management.
2. When Amazon Connect-Chimes is in production, we will have a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system that will integrate our current call center structure. This will be a cloud communication, platform as a software solution that will be programmed to make and receive phone calls, send and receive text messages and perform other communication functions using its web service APIs.
3. An IT infrastructure management migration and transition from an old legacy based, on premise IT environment to a cloud-based solution that allows Psych Associates IT admins to authenticate, authorize and manage users, devices, and applications. IT management includes but is not limited to Microsoft 365 services and support, JumpCloud integration and support, firewall protection, computer antivirus and malware protection, and day-to-day IT support.
Mental health continues to become an essential area of priority for our communities as advances leap into our lives. With access to the world at our fingertips and knowledge becoming disposable at a click, driving us into our small silos. Younger generations are adapting to technology at an accelerating pace, very quick to adapt to things like Siri and Alexa. They prefer to communicate and exchange information via a technological platform, putting at odds the emotional and interpersonal maturation which is honed in by interpersonal interaction and relationships. Thus, knowledge about mental health and access to mental health care is an ever-evolving priority and an unmet need. Mental health issues or conditions will become a leading cause of mortality and morbidity, surpassing other chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer. It is estimated the cost will exceed trillions. We at Bloominmind HealthTech Inc. are addressing this problem by building an ecosystem that can deliver knowledge about mental health, provide electronic resources, provide real time access to mental health professionals and monitor health outcomes. Our proprietary technology is powered to harness a robust group practice across the DMV region.
At Bloominmind we value the latest innovations such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to leverage the real-world practice data that can be harnessed to model and recognize patterns or priorities. We are using self-assessments that are NIH validated and evidence-based, which provide input into different mental health issues that could be addressed during visits with licensed professionals or recommendations. The Bloominmind analytics platform leverages this robust data for predictive modeling algorithms that are used for customizable and personalized interventions.
- 100,000 enrolled patients
- Data for 70,000 medications
- 56,000 clinical visits collected over the last 10 months, with comprehensive bio-psycho-social history and review of system
- Around 5 million in top line revenue with projections to be 10 million from insurance reimbursement collections via our Revenue Cycle Management system
- 200 to 220 daily patient visits with projections to increase by 40% in the next quarter
We are developing patient education resources and interactive modules to deliver mental health education that will help eliminate stigma, train resilience and coping. A UI or app based platform will be pushed to delivery to improve quality and patient experience.
We are offering this program to any client seeking improvement who has not sought mental health assistance. A self-assessment and training will be administered through Bloominmind’s EMergency EMotional Prepare ((EM)2 Prepare) online program web portal, which can be accessed via a computer or mobile device.
(EM)2 Prepare utilizes standardized, validated self-assessments covering depression, anxiety, perceived acute stress, and hazardous substance use. (EM)2 Prepare training includes information on the effects of stressful and traumatic experiences on psychological wellbeing, the concept of resilience, cognitive techniques, relaxation, stress management techniques, mindfulness, self-care practices and factors that promote or reduce resilience. This approach to an online, self-administered psychological assessment and training has previously shown to be acceptable and effective with other populations . Additionally, the user may be referred to licensed mental health clinicians for formal evaluation and treatment, if indicated by severe psychological distress. The program’s recommendations for training/education will be individually tailored to the results of the psychological self-assessment. The training goal is to improve the client’s ongoing resilience and to encourage open communication about resilience in the workplace.
This approach addresses major barriers to improving resilience, as well as two NIMH identified barriers to reducing mental health consequences of stress among community: 1) improving detection of mental health comorbidities related to emergency situations and 2) providing expeditious data to predict psychological emergency preparedness to state and federal agencies. The broad reach of easily accessible, confidential, self-administered, web-based tools to improve resilience can alleviate racial, economic, and occupational disparities in psychological health, especially during a time of social isolation.
Evaluate the uptake and acceptability of a web-based self-assessment/resilience training program for a community designed to improve their response to stress from COVID-19 exposure. We are planning to integrate an existing, validated, psychological self-assessment and resilience training tools into an online self-assessment and resilience training program. We hypothesize that most of the community members who become aware of the (EM)2 Prepare program will start it and that a majority of those will complete it. We can track program participation based on a participant’s use of the secure web portal through which the program is administered.
Increase understanding of why consumers self-refer to formal mental health care. We predict that our psychological self-assessment/resilience training program will facilitate self-referral to appropriate mental health care among participating FLWs. We will evaluate the association between participant characteristics (sociodemographic, occupational, results of psychological self-assessments) and incidence and timing of self-referral to formal mental health care.
This digital therapeutics platform offers an inexpensive, easily accessible, readily scalable approach to helping at-risk patients in the community identify and improve their resilience in dealing with the psychological hazards of COVID-19 exposure, by utilizing an innovative online, eLearning approach to psychological self-assessment and resilience training.
This digital therapeutics platform uses an integrated suite of online psychological self-assessments and resilience training modules (using interactive videos) as an eLearning program to help communities and patients exposed to the COVID-19 pandemic learn about and improve their resilience to stress. This approach would overcome existing barriers to accessing resilience training, viz., lack of awareness that resilience can be improved , reluctance to seek help, often because of stigma , and barriers due to social isolation and public health restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The brief psychological assessments will improve a participant’s understanding of their psychological state. This self-assessment feature, along with the private nature of online interaction and components of the educational module that address stigma, should enhance the likelihood of participants engaging with and completing resilience training. The ease of using the online portal and the brief, modular, self-paced, structure of the program can easily be scaled up for larger and broader target audiences.
Our digital therapeutics platform will proactively track, monitor, and treat patients based on their tailored needs. We do this using a combination of artificial intelligence and evidence-based care from licensed professionals, which will be powered by data analytics. Ultimately, we help patients and communities transform their mental health in a disciplined and consistent basis. We have customized this digital therapeutics platform from a solid research background and in field expertise from leaders in mental health and neuroscience.
